DU has partnered with People and Pollinators to create a fantastic opportunity for our community to work alongside the horticulturalists that operate daily in Wash Park to ensure the park is pollinator-friendly! This event will include gardening, weeding, and potentially planting beautiful flowers. 

What to expect: 

  • Hands-On Gardening: Get your hands dirty and help spruce up Wash Park's two main gardens: The Mt. Vernon Gardens and the Big Garden.
  • Community: Connect with fellow DU community members and others beyond DU who share your passion for sustainability, plant life, and pollinators. 
  • Make a difference: Pollinators are a vital part of our local ecosystems, and this opportunity will all you to do your part to ensure their wellbeing.

What to bring: 

  • Sun protection. 
  • Gardening tools. 
  • Water and snacks to keep you comfortable.
  • Closed-toe shoes that are suitable for gardening. 
  • Gardening gloves, if you have them. 
  • A backpack to store your belongings.
