Description

Calling all knitters, crochet-ers, and crafters! The University of Denver is seeking donations of yarn, knitting needles, and crochet hooks for a campus yarn bombing installation.

What is yarn bombing, you ask? Yarn bombing is the process of applying often highly colorful, knitted or crocheted garments to physical objects in society. Part street art, part graffiti, yarn bombing is also referred to as guerrilla knitting, kniffiti, urban knitting, wool bombing, graffiti knitting, and yarnstorming.

Members of the DU community near and far will work together this fall to create a yarn bombing installation on campus in January 2024. To get an idea of the project from last year, visit the DU Guerilla Craft Society website

We are in need of supplies including yarn, knitting needles, crochet hooks, and more!
