DU has partnered with People and Pollinators to create a fantastic opportunity for our community to work alongside the horticulturalists that operate daily in Wash Park to ensure the park is pollinator-friendly! This event will include gardening, weeding, and potentially planting beautiful flowers.
What to expect:
- Hands-On Gardening: Get your hands dirty and help spruce up Wash Park's two main gardens: The Mt. Vernon Gardens and the Big Garden.
- Community: Connect with fellow DU community members and others beyond DU who share your passion for sustainability, plant life, and pollinators.
- Make a difference: Pollinators are a vital part of our local ecosystems, and this opportunity will all you to do your part to ensure their wellbeing.
What to bring:
- Sun protection.
- Gardening tools.
- Water and snacks to keep you comfortable.
- Closed-toe shoes that are suitable for gardening.
- Gardening gloves, if you have them.
- A backpack to store your belongings.
