The DU Atlanta Network and the University of Denver are excited to host a service day. Members of the DU community are invited to help clean up the Chastain Horse Park from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 16. The Day of DUing is organized by Atlanta Network. With the DU's mission of a private university dedicated to the public good, what better way to spend a beautiful morning helping make a difference.
The group will be helping with property maintenance tasks outside, such as clearing leaves, sweeping, washing arena fences, clearing the riding trail, cleaning grooming tools, cleaning feed buckets, etc. You must wear closed-toe shoes. Dress for the weather in clothes that can get dirty. The park does not allow open umbrellas on the property, so please wear rain jackets if necessary. Bring a water bottle, snack, and work gloves. There will be a room where you can store belongings, but they do not have secure storage. Chastain requires one form to be filled out and you will be sent this after you register. Volunteers must be 14 years of age or older. Volunteers under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
