We are delighted to bring back the Chicagoland day of service, Day of DUing, this spring. Members of the DU community are invited to help pack meals for the non-profit organization Feed My Starving Children from 2-4 p.m. on Saturday, April 15. The Day of DUing is organized by Chicagoland Network Leader, Madiha Younus.
Feed My Starving Children (FMSC) believes hope starts with food. As a Christian nonprofit, FMSC is dedicated to seeing every child whole in body and spirit. FMSC works with food distribution partners that stay with communities for the long haul, empowering them to move from relief to development.
FMSC meals are developed by food science and nutrition professionals to supplement nutritional needs and reduce problems with malnutrition. Nutrition allows children to grow, thrive and develop to their full potential.
Day of DUing volunteers will participate in a high-energy food packing assembly line with other members of the DU community. The meals packed will be given to schools, orphanages, clinics and feeding programs around the world to deliver hope and break the cycle of poverty.
Supplies and training will be provided. No previous experience needed! Are you ready to turn hunger into hope with your own two hands by packing nutritious meals for hungry children around the world? Respond to this opportunity and join us.
