For DU alumni, students, faculty, staff, and external community members of all cultural identities, BAA connects those with a passion to community-build within the Black community through providing opportunities for networking, professional development, and mentorship.
BAA is currently recruiting one co-chair. The co-chairs work in partnership with an Alumni Engagement Staff liaison. The chairs are responsible for planning, scheduling and leading network meetings and functions, often serving as a master of ceremonies at social functions and meetings. The chairs are also encouraged to recruit a leadership team that includes, but is not limited to: co-chair, communications chair, and student engagement chair. This leadership opportunity can be adjusted to your availability and schedule.
Responsibilities include:
- Planning and implementing a variety of events and programs that engage Black alumni.
- Organizing at least one social event per quarter.
- Attending at least 50% of all network planned events.
