Originally built in the 19th century for irrigation purposes, the High Line Canal has been and continues to be instrumental in the development of Denver and its surrounding communities. Today, it does more than transport water. It provides a glimpse into our shared history and the opportunity to take in the beauty of our shared state. This opportunity will allow you to contribute directly to that beauty by performing cleanup along the High Line Canal's recreational pathways.
What to expect:
- Lots of activity: picking up trash and other debris along the High Line Canal trail.
- Community: connect with volunteers from both the DU community and beyond.
- Contribution: be a part of the High Line Canal's ongoing history by ensuring its legacy of beauty and purpose is continued.
What to bring:
- Comfortable clothing and closed-toe shoes suitable for walking.
- Gloves, if you have them.
- Water and other snacks to keep you comfortable.
- A backpack to carry your accessories.
