As part of the University of Denver Earth Week celebrations, we invite you to join us for a meaningful initiative – Community Commons Waste Audit. This volunteer project aims to collect data on what DU's waste stream looks like in the Dining Hall and educate people on the basics of recycling and composting. This is valuable data that can help to increase the waste diversion efforts here at the University of Denver!
What to Expect:
- Help to sort through trash, compost, and recycling and look at what is making up the waste stream at the Community Commons
- Help to weigh and collect data on different materials we are finding in our waste stream.
- Learn about issues such as plastic pollution, composting, and recycling contamination
What to Bring:
- All materials and gloves will be provided
- Positive energy and enthusiasm!
