The Center for Sustainability is hosting its annual Move Out event and would love your help! Every year, a tremendous amount of waste is generated as students move out of their dorms and discard unwanted clothing, household items, unopened food, and unused personal hygiene products. Volunteers are needed to help with:
- Monitoring donation drop-off at collection sites around campus
- Sort through items to find the best home for them (the campus Thrift Store, one of our nonprofit community partners, or the landfill)
- Moving donated items from collection sites to on-campus storage containers/rooms
- Answering student and community member questions
