Center for Sustainability

Who We Are

The Center for Sustainability at the University of Denver promotes social and ecological justice by empowering the University of Denver community to engage in critical, creative, and systems-thinking, and by serving as a hub for developing student and faculty ecological justice scholars who are dedicated to creating a just, joyful, and regenerative future.

What We Do

The Center provides leadership and coordinates units across campus in the intentional design of a just and regenerative future for DU and the community; interfaces between curriculum and institutional, community and regional sustainability practices; engages students to build community and learn through authentic, problem-based, interdisciplinary practice and research; provides resources for faculty and staff, students, student organizations, and learning living communities; and facilitates social-ecological justice education across campus. The Center services the whole campus community, with increasing focus on serving our neighbors and local community.
