Lead Incoming Students in a Beloved DU Tradition!

Join fellow DU alumni on the floor of Magness Arena during Convocation to welcome the Class of 2030 and lead the crowd in singing “Country Roads,” a beloved DU tradition that has brought generations of Pioneers together.

After move-in day, Convocation is one of the first moments when new students truly feel part of the DU community. Seeing alumni there to welcome them sends a powerful message: the DU community doesn’t end at graduation—it just keeps going!!

Shift Details

4:00 PM – Doors open; mingle with fellow alumni volunteers4:30 PM – Depart together for Convocation at Magness Arena5:00–6:00 PM – Convocation & sing “Country Roads”!6:00–8:00 PM – Optional: Stay for a free dinner and connect with new students and families

Expect heavy traffic in the area due to move-in day.
