LGBTQIA+ Pride Alumni Affinity Network (Pride)
For our alumni, students, faculty, staff, and external community members of all sexual orientations and gender identities, the Pride Network, in partnership with DU’s Cultural Center, offers opportunities for support, networking, professional development, mentorship, and community service. Let's build a supportive community that celebrates diversity, empowers careers, and contributes to positive change at the University of Denver.
Pride is currently recruiting a volunteer chair to work in partnership with an Alumni Engagement staff liaison. The chair is responsible for planning, scheduling and leading network meetings and functions, often serving as a master of ceremonies at social functions and meetings. The chair is encouraged to recruit a leadership team that includes, but is not limited to: a co-chair, communications chair, and student-engagement chair. This leadership opportunity can be adjusted to your availability and schedule. A 1-2-year commitment is preferable.
Responsibilities include:
- Planning and implementing a variety of programming that engages the Pride Network (e.g. Pride Parade, Lavender Graduation, Pride Bingo Fundraiser, etc.).
- Organizing at least one social event per quarter.
- Attending at least 50% of all network planned events.
If you are interested, please respond to this opportunity and a staff member will be in touch to share more information.
