IAA: Indigenous Alumni Affinity

For DU alumni, students, faculty, staff, and external community members of all cultural identities, IAA connects those with a passion to community-build within the Indigenous community through providing opportunities for networking, professional development, scholarships, and mentorship.

IAA is currently recruiting one co-chair to work in partnership with an Alumni Engagement staff liaison. The chairs are responsible for planning, scheduling and leading network meetings and functions, often serving as a master of ceremonies at social functions and meetings. The chairs are also encouraged to recruit a leadership team that includes, but is not limited to: co-chair, communications chair, and student engagement chair. This leadership opportunity can be adjusted to your availability and schedule. A 1-2-year commitment is preferable.

Responsibilities include:

  • Planning and implementing a variety of programming that engages the IAA community.
  • Organizing at least one social event per quarter.
  • Attending at least 50% of all network planned events.

If you are interested, please respond to this opportunity and a staff member will be in touch to share more information.
