Volunteers will help guests assemble and decorate baking supply kits filled with pantry staples (flour, sugar, salt, baking powder, parchment paper) that will be donated to the DU Food Pantry.

Volunteer: Support DU as a Social Media Ambassador

Do you want to share your love for the University of Denver (DU) with others? Your social media presence can translate into positive energy for our alma mater. Sign up to be a Social Media Ambassador and become one of the first to spread the word about exciting events taking place on and off campus!

The goal is to:

Help foster a sense of community and belonging among members of the DU community. Share important news and events of interest to alumni, parents, and friends. Promote positive, authentic content about the University. Have some fun together!

What do Social Media Ambassadors Do?

Social Media Ambassadors will help generate positive energy about DU online. They disseminate and generate content for social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and LinkedIn that interest them and they believe would resonate with alumni in their social networks. These volunteers help build excitement about various alumni events such as Homecoming, Zoo Lights, Founder's Day, Alumni Weekend, 1Day4DU, and other major campus events and fundraising campaigns.

Why should I sign up to be a Social Media Ambassador?

Research has shown that 92% of people around the world say they trust earned media, including recommendations from friends and family, above all other forms of advertising. Translated: a recommendation coming from you means more to your peers, both alumni and non-alumni, than it does coming from us. Your positive energy online can make a big difference for DU.

Do I need to be active on all social media platforms?

While the ideal ambassador would have influence on many social networks, we know that some alumni may be extremely influential on Facebook, but not have a Twitter account. You are still eligible to serve as an ambassador even if you are not active on all of platforms.

How often do I need to be actively promoting DU Alumni social media posts?

We encourage Social Media Ambassadors to be as active as possible given their work and home life schedules. SMAs should be active once a month, at a minimum; however, during our high priority events, we need everyone to be as active as possible.

Okay, I'm excited to help! What do I do now?
